The Marketing and Communications team is responsible for developing and delivering the marketing and communications strategy and an implementation plan to articulate and promote LPP’s value proposition to our clients, members and employers of our clients, our shareholders, the media, the Government and associated public-sector organisations, and the general public.
Our activities focus on driving awareness of our capabilities, product and service offering, showcasing our expertise via insight communications, as well as producing content/materials that support business growth.
We are looking for people with creativity and initiative to join the team. The role holder will have demonstrable marketing and communications experience and a successful track record of managing/delivering activities across multiple disciplines such as marketing materials, media/PR, corporate/client communications, digital and events.
Role and responsibilities:
? Translate business goals into marketing tactics and messages
? Develop and execute these tactics and messaging through the use of content, digital, media/public relations, public affairs, conferences and events
? Develop opportunities to raise awareness and profile of LPP and its stakeholders (including LPFA spokespersons) through media relationships and executive speaking opportunities
? Create and develop marketing materials and content supporting business development activities which include presentations, annual reports, sales literatures and product briefs. Ensure content/messaging for each business line are aligned to LPP’s strategy and priorities
? Draft/edit/review/proof read all marketing content (on/off-line), business proposals (RPFs), awards submissions, government communications, media briefing notes, editorials and speeches; ensure they are aligned to LPP’s corporate messaging and house-style and that they meet compliance requirements
? Contribute to the successful execution of company-hosted/sponsored events (eg LPFA Fund Member Forum)
? Develop and evaluate metrics and provide insights on marketing and communication program performance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, consistency and effectiveness
? Demonstrate understanding of brand guidelines as well as how to creatively apply them across assigned areas and marketing deliverables
? Share learnings, both practical and strategic between members of the team and across the wider business
? Minimum 5 years marketing and communications knowledge and experience within financial services, ideally from pensions, investment management or consultancy background
? Proven success in developing and delivering marketing and communications programs across multiple disciplines
? Experience in digital marketing and communications, including website analytics and social media
? Experience of working in a regulated business
? Excellent writing/editing/proof reading skills
? Strong experience in PowerPoint and ability to translate concepts into concise and compelling presentations
? Experience in working with external agencies and service providers
? Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across all levels, including with senior stakeholders
? Ability to think creatively and draw from resources to create simple, unified and persuasive output
? A strong team player, but also an organised self-starter with a strong ‘customer-service’ focus and ‘can-do’ attitude
? High level of initiative and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
