LGE is a bespoke pan London service funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime(MOPAC), for gang affected young people, both those who are involved in and/or those impacted by gang activity and youth violence.
LGE has a focus on those aged 16-25 and our aim is to achieve positive and sustained change for young people through advocacy, specialist support and practical tools.
The support worker role is to provide transformational and trauma based support to young people aged 16 - 25 involved, affected or exploited by gangs across London.
The role will be expected to work well with others and demonstrate clear and effective communication with stakeholders, partners and service users.
Experience of working in multi-agency setting and experienced at delivering person - centered and trauma based support is a core component to the skills required for this role.
The majority of the role will require you to work directly with referred clients on a 1:1 basis.
You will develop and support relationships with partner agencies and third sector organisations pan London ensuring effective case communication and management.
This post is required to ensure that effective outcome data is collated, monitored, is SMART and inputted in line with organisational processes and procedures.
The role is currently funded until 31st of March 2020 but this is currently under review with indications of positive progress.
The role is also required to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding.
