Monitoring Officer
Part Time – up to 65 days per year

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park boasts some of the most spectacular scenery and diverse wildlife in Britain including internationally important nature reserves, geology and archaeology.

The National Park Authority is now looking to appoint an Officer with a track record of achievement at senior level in the legal or public sector to fulfil the statutory functions of Monitoring Officer together with other related duties.

An excellent communicator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills, the Monitoring Officer will play a key role in promoting high standards of conduct within the Authority. You will also act as the Authority’s Complaints Officer and provide / deliver training for members and staff on legislative and code of conduct matters.

The ideal applicant will have knowledge of current local government and public sector issues. It is desirable that the successful candidate has the ability to work through the medium of Welsh. A legal background would also be an added advantage.

Salary and Benefits:

Basic salary up to £15,004 pa for the equivalent of 65 days per year, minimum 23 days holiday, rising to 28 days (pro-rata), plus public holidays (pro-rata), local government pension scheme, flexible working arrangements.
